This drama presents a historical overview of America's first permenent English settlement, including the Jamestown settler's origins in England and the first quarter century of the colony's existence. This is an excellent reenactment of a seminal period in European settlement of the New World.

The program explores the roles and relationships that existed in Colonial times. It identifies major differences in culture, customs and society of the Native Americans and the English colonists. It explores beliefs, customs and values in Revolutionary America. Historical accuracy and high production value make this series a great addition to any Social Studies classroom.
