The Blooming Flower Fan Dance is a folk dance in the ceremonial/artistic tradition. The costumes, hairstyles, and fans combine with the choreography to create a mood of lighthearted joy as the dancers represent flowers emerging from the ground, swaying in the wind, and opening their faces to the sun.
