In this choral performance video students perform, "Ocean Is My Hometown" and "Jasmine Flower," in Chinese and two students perform a ribbon dance during part of the performance. "Ocean is My Hometown" was written for the 1983 Chinese film, "The Calling of the Sea." When the film became a big hit, the song gained popularity. The second song performed by the choir, "Jasmine Flowers," also provokes a strong emotional response and is very popular. It was performed at the Olympics in 2008. This resource is part of the Beauty of Jasmine collection.
