Watch now: Although milliner Karen Morris uses the motto “simple is good” to guide her work, the making of her hats is anything but. A lifelong lover of fashion, she draws inspiration from horse racing in her native Hong Kong.

Morris’ work tends toward  traditional shapes, but she adds her funky signature to everything she does, whether it’s a feathery flourish or experimentation with a new material. Morris has shown locally and in England, Singapore and China.

MN Original | Filmmaker Rich Reeder

Watch: Feeling the need to give back after have received many opportunities in his career, filmmaker Rich Reeder created the Film In The City project. The project teaches all aspects of filmmaking to homeless youth through workshops and mentorships, and culminates in the creation of a short film.

The inaugural year of the project resulted in A Common Manor, which premiered on the big screen in October of 2014.
