Together we sing the “Hola” song, and then Sra. Alicia and Susana greet each other and play the game Veo, veo (I See, I See) to review geometric shapes. We continue to review the names of shapes by reading the book Figuras, Muchas Figuras (Figures, Many Figures). Sra. Alicia uses circles to demonstrate the differences in sizes (pequeño, mediano, y grande). We are then invited to play ¿Qué viene después? to further understand the differences. Sra. Alicia then reviews action verbs by singing the same tune as the “Manos arriba, manos abajo” chant, but using different verbs such as pinta (paint), corta (cut), pega (glue), and traza (trace). Sra. Alicia uses paint to review the primary and secondary colors, introducing the color anaranjado (orange). The lesson closes with the “Adios” song.
